i didnt feel welcomed at all shall not be going in future.
That's a shame, when I went for my first visit back in November, I was greeted, shown around, then wandered about chatting to people playing Warhammer, board games, rpgs etc. Didn't get a game that night, but been a few times since and gotten some boardgaming in.
Of course, I'm not a Warhammer player, I just went there with the vague intention of playing some games. I don't think there are many current Fantasy/40k players at the club, so if there's a lot of them at SADWargamers, you might be better off making that your regular port of call.
I used to play Fantasy, years ago, but stopped partly because I had a hard time getting a game! So I feel your pain

I generally go to SWAT equipped to run a game of Paranoia (RPG), hasn't happened yet, but at least it's only a folder to speculatively carry around, rather than crates full of minis.
In fact that may be the problem here for you... there's no "casual" wargaming at SWAT, you may be best off waiting for a firm booking before dragging your hordes to Gorse Hill.
Or try a boardgame. I hear Settlers of Catan is good, does anyone have a copy they'd like to bring next week and teach me?
