Hey there! I've recently moved into the area and am looking for the odd game of WHFB but could be tempted to try a few more strategy tabletop games.

Before i moved i was playing the odd game with a few mates. At the moment i just play the odd game with my gf and paint alot! I'm not an expert in terms of rules but I've read the rule book (twice now :geek: ) and will be getting the new copy soon.

Basically I'm looking to get into the fighting side more (after some hardcore new rule book reading!) I've read the other posts and got the idea that the best way is to organize a fight on the forums and then turn up! Is this the case?

Hi Rookie! This is Peter AKA Aun and for my sins I am currently the chairman of the club.

I would suggest that establish yourself on this forum, post in the WHFB subforum and work out what is going on at the club - at the moment we do have maybe two or three Fantasy games going on each evening. Introduce yourself online and get to know the movers and shakers. Get an invitation or two for some low-key games one evening soon. Then just show up at Mongoose HQ any Tuesday after about 6:30pm with your minis.

However I dare say if you just turned up, you may well get to play someone anyway. Quite a few of the GW players don't check this forum regularly. Just don't hold it against us if you don't get a game on your first night, there just might not be a spare fantasy gamer!

See you anon I hope,

Peter.
